Welcome to Baker Farm

We are a first-generation family farm rooted in the heart of Rock Hill, SC. Since 2006, we’ve been growing our dreams—and our flock—on this land, with the vision of raising our children close to the rhythms of nature.

Our passion is heritage-breed, dual-purpose sheep, animals that are as valuable for their wool as they are for their place in sustainable farming. We love sharing what we’ve learned, and we’re proud to open our gates to the community to teach about sheep care, traditional fiber arts, and the beauty of heritage livestock.

We love opening our gates and sharing the beauty of Baker Farm with others. Whether it’s a field trip full of curious kids, a cozy farm dinner under the stars, or a seasonal event that brings neighbors together, we believe there’s something special about gathering on the land. Hosting events is one of our greatest joys—it’s where stories are shared, connections are made, and our community grows a little closer. You’re always welcome here.

Fiber Farming

In 2018, we welcomed our first sheep to the farm, a breeding group of Gulf Coast Natives, and quickly fell in love. That initial flock sparked a deeper passion for heritage breeds, and we soon expanded into Shetland Sheep, which now make up the majority of our flock.

Today, we raise a variety of heritage breeds and are proud members and supporters of the Livestock Conservancy. Our farm’s primary focus is wool—a sustainable, renewable resource with endless uses, from clothing and fiber arts to garden mulch.
